My Story
NextManager was born out of two things:
1. My New-found Passion on Virtual Management
I have been in Management Systems consulting since 2003, been “in and out” of corporate engagements but never really enjoyed my career in spite of the money, prestige, and perks.
I continue to search for something that I could enjoy, where the money will simply become a byproduct of the process and not the end goal.
2010 was the turning point. After my last corporate stint in Manufacturing Operations, I decided that it will be the last.
That decision paved the way for new opportunities to work with international clients and exciting projects online. I’ve found a new way of working that I enjoyed.
It was exhilarating!
2. Provide A Venue To Help Startups Manage Better Virtually
I was doing the same thing. Management Consulting. However, this time I do it in the comfort of my home or wherever and whenever it is conducive. I am the epitome of the next generation manager.
One project led to another, and before I knew it, I was managing more than 100 remote staff from 4 continents. It was a new ball game and challenging. Communication and cultural barriers were hard to hurdle at first, and thus I did my best to learn the unique culture in each of the remote staff I was working with. The most difficult part is I needed to contend with the issue of managing people who I don’t get to see face to face. I succeeded! In the process, I learned a new paradigm in effective management – Virtual Management.
I did great. In fact, at one time, I was running business operations as chief for three startups while consulting with several companies in Australia and the US.
I’d love to work with you. But you need to know that -

I’d love to work with you. But you need to know that -
- I am picky (always been);
- I only work on projects and businesses that I believe;
- I only engage myself in projects where I can provide real value to my clients and for which my efforts are greatly appreciated; and
- Lastly, I intend to grow with the startup that I am working with for there is no better fulfillment than being a part of something great.
